Relton TCT Rebar Cutters enable critical placement of holes in reinforced concrete to be achieved using the combination of a tungsten carbide tipped masonry drill and a TCT rebar cutter in a rotary drill. Rebar Cutters have an external spiral pattern engineered to facilitate the effi cient removal of debris. Rebar Cutters over 15mm are manufactured with a hollow core and two relief holes to enable cooling and the removal of slug and debris.

USAGE

Use correct speed for diameter and material type and use fi rm pressure. Commence drilling using TCT rotary hammer drill USING HAMMER MODE. Periodically partially withdraw drill from hole to aid in the evacuation of dust and debris. If progress of hole drilling stops inspect hole to check if you have hit rebar. If rebar is found simply swap the TCT rotary hammer drill with the Rebar Cutter and CHANGE THE DRILL TO ROTARY ONLY MODE. The rebar cutter will quickly cut through the rebar. Once you have cut through the rebar ensure the hole is cleared of any rebar debris. Swap back to the TCT rotary hammer drill, CHANGE TO HAMMER MODE, and continue drilling to the required depth.

TCT REBAR CUTTER GUIDELINES

• TCT Rebar Cutters are designed for rotary drilling only. Percussion (hammer action) will damage the tool.
• Run at low speed with plenty of pressure.
• Drill dry - no water or cutting fl uid.
• Read and follow safety instructions supplied in your owner’s manual before operating any power tool.
• Wear eye, hearing and dust protection.
• Use correct speed for drill diameter.
