The Scotch-Brite™ AL Surface Conditioning Disc deburrs,blends and finishes a variety of substrates, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It strikes the perfect balance between strength and softness. Use this disc to refine coated abrasive scratches, blend machine marks or mill lines, remove handling defects or prepare a part to be painted. Effectively Remove Burrs and Contaminants without Damaging Base Material Scotch-Brite™ products can help make your tough jobs easier. The Scotch-Brite™ AL (Anti-Loading) Surface Conditioning Disc, helps achieve burr-free, paintable finishes in fewer steps without damaging the base material. It’s designed to lightly grind, finish and blend – using its unique blend of open web and mineral to minimise imperfections and deliver a fine finish. Aluminium Oxide Mineral Cuts Fast and Sharp Aluminium oxide mineral is interspersed in the disc’s open web. Aluminium oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals given its durability and sharp cut. Moreover, Aluminium oxide is known for being friable, meaning it fragments under heat and pressure in order to self renew. Friability keeps the mineral cutting sharp. While all discs use Aluminium oxide, we offer Scotch-Brite™ AL Surface Conditioning Discs in three grades: very fine (VFN), medium (MED) and coarse (CRS). HookIt™ for Easy Power Tool Attachment included a a HookIt™ attachment on this disc so operators can easily swap between discs when there are multiple grades in a sequence – enhancing overall productivity. Abrasive material is pulled through the scrim on the back of the disc to create loops. Altogether, the HookIt™ attachment system makes disc to tool attachment swift and easy. The Scotch-Brite™ Advantage Scotch-Brite™ products incorporate mineral into non-woven nylon Fibres. Breakthrough Fibre coating technology allows Scotch-Brite™ abrasive products to cut faster and produce a more consistent scratch. The open-web material is load resistant and keeps the abrasive minerals cutting at high performance by limiting clogging of the nylon fibres. As the nylon fibres break down gradually during grinding, they expose fresh mineral, so you get a consistent sharp cut – part after part.
